Dear friends
thank God the cease-fire has started and the drums of war have stopped beating (for the time being). Now, before we forget the feeling of fear and despair, is the time for reflection.

I have never seen so much mutual hatred, hostility, aggressiveness and cynicism coming from both sides via the internet and mass media. Shame on all the war-loving, battle-hoping, short-sighted-victory-seeking, blood-licking people of this region! If you want to struggle – go do it in the negotiation room – not on my children's back and not on the back of Palestinian and Israeli children – you childish bullies!

Some notes to the Palestinians: My dear Palestinian friends, I expect you to condemn the violence done in your name and to demand from your leaders to never take violent measures in your just struggle for independence. It is not moral and it is not smart, for you can be sure that every violent act lessens the sympathy for your cause for a free state of Palestine.

Same goes to you, my dear Israeli friends who think that military strength is a substitute for wisdom. Condemn the violence done in your name, violence that kills and wounds! It is not moral nor is it smart, for you can be sure that every violent act lessens the sympathy for Israel's just cause for a peaceful life.

I despise War and I despise Violence. I despise your Qassam rockets and your F-16s. I despise your dumb bombs and smart bombs and gunpowder-thrilled militiamen and generals. I despise all the blood- thirsty-facebook-posts and the We-are-the-only-victims biased media. I despise is all, for war is the act of the animal within us, and peace is the act of our inner divinity.

And a note for all the Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers – You were few but you were courageous to stand up and denounce the atrocities generated from both sides. May more peace-believers join and may peace prevail in the Holy Land.
